Last week our Information Systems Manager Andrew Bell attended the 2025 EMODnet Conference.
EMODnet is a ‘comprehensive in situ marine data service in Europe, offering a wealth of in water Ocean observations, data and data products, spanning the coast and oceans’.
This conference an important event for those of us involved in marine data, ocean observation and the future of shared European data infrastructure.
It was a valuable opportunity to hear updates from across the community, connect with partners, and contribute to conversations about improving access, interoperability and reliability of marine data.
Key themes from this year’s conference included standardisation, transparency, citizen science, and the value of collaboration. We are very much looking forward to continuing the discussions and supporting the work that EMODNet is enabling across the sector.
