iCoast – The place to go before you visit Dorset’s spectacular coastline

We are co-sponsoring the further development of the iCoast public website in conjunction with the Dorset Coastal Forum. Originally developed as part of an EU project in 2013 with OceanWise’s digital mapping data, elevation model and tidal data at its core, it is now being updated to ensure it is fit for purpose for the future and to better cope with the increased traffic the website is now attracting.

Planning your outdoor activity on iCoast is so easy! With information on 26 different water sport and coastal activities in Dorset, iCoast is the only website you need to visit to plan a day out on the Dorset Coast; whether to make the most of the outstanding scenery the coast offers year-round; planning extreme or more conventional water and coastal sport activities; a day out as a family or just to explore the Jurassic Coast. You can find all the information you need together on the iCoast interactive map, such as tide times and heights, weather forecasts, wonderful award-winning beaches, webcams, slipways, transport information and facilities, such as campsites, car parks and places of interest and all in one place!
