Environmental Monitoring goes Portable!

Our environmental monitoring system is now available as part of a complete turnkey portable solution. Originally developed for the Royal Yacht Squadron (weather) and UK Dredging (tides), the system has been expanded to include additional sensors, allowing a wide range of environmental data types to be measured from a remote, moving or temporary location and sent to our online (aka cloud-based) data collection and display system, Port-Log.

The portable system employs the same technology as a fixed installation, using our ‘smart’ telemetry unit the ip.buffer’ and Port-Log to store, manage, share and publish the data. We can configure the system, so that the sensor suite is tailored to the specific monitoring requirements of the customer. The telemetry and power sources required to maintain the sensor are housed in a corrosion proof, dust proof and waterproof ‘Peli Case’, which is easy to transport and robust enough to withstand the harsh marine environment.

The system is already being used by a number of customers for a variety of applications but further ideas are always welcome.
