Team changes at OceanWise

As we say goodbye to John Pepper, and welcome in the New Year, we also celebrate new beginnings of a different kind with some exciting changes to our organisational structure and the joining of another new team member.

Our present functional structure will be replaced by one that is focused on the following business units: Mapping, Monitoring, and Compliance, supported by Marketing, Technical (which includes Information Systems and Engineering) and Customer Services. Caroline Levey, our current Operations Director will take on the role of Managing Director, so that our current MD, Dr Mike Osborne, can focus on international business development and his passion and the growing portfolio of customers for our data governance training courses and services. Ralph Bostock, who joined us in November 2021 has been promoted to head up our Monitoring Business Unit. Caroline will be acting head of our Mapping and Compliance Business Units until we are able to promote or recruit people into these roles as soon as we can in 2022.

We welcome Becky Conway to our team. Becky is well known in the ports and harbours sector. After training as a hydrographic surveyor, she joined ABP Southampton in 2012 where she grew in her role to become responsible for providing hydrographic and conservancy services compliant with the Port Marine Safety Code. Becky joins OceanWise as Internal Sales and Oceanographic Engineer.
